This case study evaluated the impact of trauma training with a focus on vicarious traumatization in a residential youth services division. It documents improvements in staff attitudes toward trauma-informed care (TIC) after training, and highlights the complicated relationship between TIC implementation and staff experience of vicarious traumatization. The study also provides a blueprint for conducting program evaluations of TIC.
